Docs
- Improvements were made to reduce the time it takes to upload a document to Filevine. Clients should experience a 50% decrease in the time it takes to upload a document. Fix was released for clients experiencing document preview loading as blank.
- Sent Date is now appearing on email previews.
Reports
The creator of a saved report can now delete that saved report. Read more.
Billing
- LEDES improvements: Paralegal and Legal Intern are now available timekeeper classifications
- Each tab in Advanced | Billing and in Advanced | Billing Setup will now have its own URL. This is a small change, but it makes it possible to bookmark one of the tabs directly and makes reloading the page easier.
- The Payments button in Advanced | Billing now includes an additional icon to better indicate that clicking the button will open in a new tab
- The timer could be too quick to offer Quick Switch; it now gives the Quick Switch option only when on a project-specific page
- The information in the project billing section, Settings tab (especially the rate schedule and client matter ID) would get “stuck” showing the information from a prior project; this no longer happens
- In the public API, the invoices call quit returning meaningful information for expenses; this has been remedied
Lead Docket
- Added Call Summary and Call Transcripts included in Callrail and CallTrackingMetrics integration.
- New source Lead ID added to LeadReport column option allows users to view promoted leads from associated contacts or plaintiffs.
- Hidden custom fields not shown on print, referrals, etc is live
Vinesign
- Vinesign sending to reordered signers thing is bug fixed
- Updated Vinesign code to solve the dupe signatures bug. This delays signing or field data entry until entire screen loads.

AI Fields Prompt Updates
- Expanded practice area prompts including:
- Criminal case file analysis
- Vendor agreement insights
- Paystubs timeline generation
- Medical records SOAP analysis
- General document timeline generation
- Expanded the medical chronology prompt so for every date of service it will extract:
- Reference/Page: Date of service, Provider, Facility, Reason for Visit, History of the present illness
- Subjective: Chief Complaint, Pain score
- Objective: Vital signs, Testing, Imaging, Assessment, Diagnoses, ICD-10-CM Codes
- Treatment: Medications prescribed, CPT Codes
- Plan: Follow ups or referrals ordered, and Prognosis
Billing
- Updated handling when an invoice payment link against a trust account is received
- When the payment comes in, Filevine will now not only create a project funds entry in the amount of the payment (which was previously happening) but also:
- Create a payment record in the Payments & Transactions section, using project funds
- Show the corresponding debit from project funds

Lead Docket
- End to End Automation including Payments request now available in any org that has Lead Docket Payments.
- Message Templates, Automations, and Task Templates now include the ability to make a payment request.
- If a payment request is sent and paid it will be reflected in Lead Docket and pushed to Filevine at time of project creation to either the project funds or payment section depending on trust or operating account.
- Send multiple Vinesign Templates with Automations now available
- Added date of death to opportunity options
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where users were not removed from the Sidebar list when they were removed from an org. This has been solved so that users are removed from Sidebar when they are removed from the org.
- Fixed a bug where the Title of the Sidebar would sometimes not be set when selecting the Summarize button on a Project Activity.
- Fixed a bug where Sidebar couldn't be closed when viewing the Notification settings
- Fixed a bug where the back arrow would not work when doing another action (notifying of a task or you had a Sidebar plug-in open)
- Payments received from FV.Payments are again recorded with the date that the payment is made, rather than the date that the payment was requested.
- The report values for Uninvoiced Balance and Overall Outstanding Balance were incorrectly including paused timers, incomplete tasks with time-tracking details, and future calendar events with time-tracking details. This has been fixed for all new calculations
- Creating an invoice from the invoice modal did not seem to succeed from the UI; one had to close the modal and reload the page to see the new invoice. This has been remedied.

Bug Fixes
- It wasn’t possible to create a templated expense; this has been repaired.
- Project Link Search was not limiting to a specific project type when indicated; this has been fixed and reflects correctly in the UI.

Project Activity
- FIX: “Completed by me” and “Completed by [user]” would return no results even if it should have; they now return results appropriately.
SidebarAI
- FIX: Notes with no author would prevent SidebarAI from running on activity. While this is rare, we can now ensure SidebarAI handles that.
Teams
- FIX: When removing a user (i.e. breaking a Team) all members in that team and any other subsequent broken Teams would be removed from the project; this has been fixed
Billing
- For firms who selected an operating type account as their default deposit destination for Project Funds, FV.Payments payments will now post automatically into Project Funds
- For an invoice, the sum of hours is now available to the invoice template (invoiceTotalHours) and to the Invoices report. This is in addition to the total dollars related to time entries (invoiceTotalTime).
- FIX: If a user did not have a specific avatar and was relying on the default, then inside of the project Billing section, Billing Entries tab, it showed up as a teal circle without initials; this has been fixed
- FIX: If a project has a rate schedule without a minimum time increment and a time entry is created via the timer, there could be discrepancies between the line-item totals on the invoice PDF and what was shown in the UI; this has been fixed for newly created time entries.
