FVDA
- Fix: Switching a variable's type to or from multi-select was displaying an error because the previous value wasn't being cleared. The value is now properly reset when changing variable types.
Client Portal
- Table rows in Client Portal Manager are now clickable across Auto Invites, Bulk Invites, and Timelines, so admins can click anywhere on a row instead of targeting the small action icon.
LOIS Workflows
- The LOIS step type now preserves citation URLs.
MedChron
- MedChrons in progress in LOIS will now tell the user if they have new docs processing, with a disclaimer.

Client Portal
- Dropdowns throughout Client Portal Manager now support search-as-you-type and are sorted consistently, making it easier to find options across report filters, bulk invites, display settings, and timeline configuration.
- Clients can now upload .csv, .heic, and .heif files in messages, documents, and forms.
- Fix: The organization usage report in Client Portal Manager was failing to load for large organizations. This has been resolved.
FVDA & Outlaw
- Template editors now have access to a complexity indicator in the Draft editor. Clicking it opens a detailed breakdown modal showing the template's total complexity score, severity rating, a per-factor breakdown, and an Action Recommended callout for high-risk templates—helping keep templates performant and within technical limits.
- A new Duplicate Section button in the template editor toolbar lets users instantly duplicate any paragraph or caption section directly below the original, preserving all content, formatting, styles, conditions, indentation, and clause library references.
- Date variables now support two additional format options: numeric month only (e.g. "5") and short date (e.g. "5/15/2026"), giving users more flexibility in how dates appear in their documents.

FVDA & Outlaw
- Column headers in the collection selector now display sort icons on hover, making it easier to understand and control how data is sorted.
- Webhook failure notification emails now include the environment URL, team name, and endpoint URL, giving teams more context when a disabled webhook encounters an error.
- Fix: The comment button in the left caption area was disappearing too quickly, preventing users from clicking it. It now stays visible long enough to be clicked.
- Fix: Clearing a field in Filevine now correctly syncs the change to connected contract variables in Pull and Bidirectional sync modes.
- Fix: Changing the sync option on a connected variable in a generated deal document (e.g., switching away from Pull) now saves and applies correctly.
May 4, 2026 – May 8, 2026
Advanced Access
- Firms can now grant or revoke contact permissions based on each contact type configured in their Filevine Org, allowing them to customize users’ access based on their role or business function.
FVDA & Outlaw
- When inserting a connected table variable with auto-suggest, users now choose their Configuration first and then, optionally, select a column total. These column totals have their own clean syntax and render correctly in the Flow status.
- Fix: When adding a new section while a caption is selected, the section now appears below the caption as expected.
- Fix: Custom contact fields that are used inside collection sections will now correctly populate when a document is generated, rather than appearing blank.
Payments by Filevine
- In the Accounts section of the Payments App, users can now rename accounts and receive clearer instructions when further action is required to complete setup.
