AI Drafting uses an AI-based assistant to help you draft legal documents more effectively. AI Drafting allows natural-language prompting to fully draft your FVDA legal document, from retrieving and using Filevine case data to formatting and editing the document structure. Think of it as a drafting collaborator for your .vine files.

AI Drafting has full access to:

• project data in Filevine, including documents
• FVDA’s document creation and editing capabilities

which means you can use it to insert case data in the format you want, make sweeping layout changes to your active document, or both at the same time.

AI Drafting is currently in development.

Med Chron references all documents in the Filevine project that have been classified as medical records, and creates four different types of organized information: a case overview, a patient profile, a chronology, and a summary. Each section can then be searched using filters and keywords. 

Med Chron is currently available.

This feature extracts data from documents that are added to a project, and intelligently maps them to custom project fields. Users can then review and accept the suggestions.

Field suggestions are still in development.

Timely is a litigation tool that uses statutes and court rules to generate deadlines based upon a triggering event. Timely is updated as the rules and statutes are updated in each jurisdiction. Timely is now available across all 50 states.

Users can create and save their own custom AI prompts for AI Doc Review.

User-generated AI prompts for documents are currently available.

Client Portal now allows you to automate invites sent to the main project contact, based on a selected trigger.

Client Portal has also added some major features over the past year. Review our Client Portal documentation to stay up to date:

• an Overview section makes it easier to manage Client Portal sections
• Client Portal Billing allows clients to receive invoice notifications and make payments from within the Client Portal Billing
• Client Portal Forms allow users to efficiently collect information from clients. Send forms to clients through the Client Portal, and their submitted answers will be automatically entered into your Filevine project’s fields.
• clients can view any documents sent or received in the Client Portal gathered together in the Documents section
• Forms and automated messages can be translated

The project Docs section will soon support improved sorting and filtering, intuitive folder navigation, and customizable columns. Additionally, new column options for email files (.eml) will be available.

This feature is expected to begin beta testing in the near future.

Firms can now customize the content of their invoice emails and project funds requests. Edit the email subject and body, add variables, and include a balance summary when sending invoices.

In the Settings section of the Payments App, firms can replace the Payments by Filevine logo with their own logo in the Payments portal—helping their clients immediately recognize where the payment request came from.

In the Settings section of the Payments App, firms can now customize which payment methods are available to their clients when making a payment—including a “buy now, pay later” option through Klarna.

In the Settings section of the Payments App, firms can opt to pass credit card processing fees down to the client as a convenience fee (with some restrictions).

When sending a payment request through Vinesign, firms can now be able to choose a destination in Filevine (either transactions or project funds). Once the signer completes the payment, the transaction populates in the selected destination in Filevine.

Account Admins will be able to unlock users who are locked out due to four or more incorrect password attempts. They’ll also be able to manually reset a user’s password on their behalf.

New Lead Docket reports are more customizable, with versatile options for columns and filters. New reports can be saved, scheduled, and exported through a data integration (AWS or Azure).

Project Admins can now view a project-level audit log from a new built-in section called User Activity Log. This section also gives project Admins the ability to view the old and new values for any changes to fields.

DataBridge is a new customer data access layer in Snowflake. DataBridge provides secure, near real-time access to your Filevine data, from cases and client information to notes, calendars, and more. With DataBridge, you can connect Filevine to your analytics stack, build custom dashboards, and act with greater speed and precision.

Through Foundry, customers will be able to create and automate workflows, integrating Filevine’s suite of applications through our robust APIs.
