Before you can begin using Med Chron, you’ll need to add the Med Chron section, and then initiate Med Chron for the project. Learn more about using Med Chron.
Add to the Project Template
Med Chron is a built-in section in Filevine, and it can be added in the Customs Editor, just as you would add a Billing or a Deadlines section for the project template.
Navigate to Main Menu > Advanced > Customs Editor. Select your Org, if prompted, and your project template. Then, Create New Section. In the Section Type dropdown, select “MedChron.”
Click Save.
Run Med Chron for the Project
Once the "MedChron" built-in section is added, you can navigate to any project using that project template, and view the new MedChron section.
Before you can access Med Chron, you will need to back process the existing documents in the project. To do this, click Initiate MedChron. Our document classification tool will run through all project documents. Any documents that are classified as medical records will be sent to the MedChron tool. Once this process is complete, you'll see the option to Launch MedChron. Click this button to open MedChron in a new tab. Learn more about using Med Chron.
Note
Document processing can take 24-36 hours, depending on the number of documents in the project.
Once the document back processing is finished, any new project documents that are classified as medical records will automatically be added to Med Chron going forward.
Med Chron Notifications
You can opt in to receive a notification any time a Med Chron result is updated for a project that you follow. Navigate to main menu > Setup > Notifications and, under the Immediate tab, select “MedChron result is updated for a project you follow.”
