The Project Hub is a central place where users can view a list of all the projects where they are a member, including projects across multiple Orgs. Project Hub allows users to sort, search, and manage projects from a bird’s eye view.
Navigate
Navigate to the project hub by selecting Project Hub from the main menu dropdown in Filevine.
In Project Hub, you will see a list of all projects in which you are a member. This list provides identifying information like the project’s tags, Org, type, phase, primary, and date of last activity. Select a project to open its vitals flyout.
You can pin the projects you want to access regularly—even if they do not have the most recent activity. To pin a project, select the desired project from the list. Click the pin icon that appears in the top right. Pinned projects remain at the top of the list unless they are filtered out.
To create a new project, click + Project in the top right corner.
Bookmark
Project Hub filters are “sticky,” meaning that they will remain in place even if you navigate away from the page or refresh the page. Learn more about adding and clearing filters.
Project Hub filters are saved in the URL, which means that you can navigate intuitively using the backward and forward browser buttons. It also means that specific filtered views can be bookmarked, so that you can come back to the same filter every time. Bookmarking specific filter views can be useful, for example, for bookmarking a list of your current cases.
Search and Filter
By default, the list of projects is sorted by last activity—the most recent changes in the Activity feed for that project. You can sort by various different criteria, from two locations:
- The sorting dropdown in the top left corner allows you to directly choose your sorting criteria. To switch between ascending and descending order, select the desired sorting criteria once more.
- The column headers allow you to sort using the information in the respective column. To sort by the desired column, click the header. Click again to switch between ascending and descending order. You cannot sort by tags.
Using the “Search Projects” field at the top of the page, you can search for projects by their name or ID number. When the list is filtered by a search term, it is sorted automatically by relevance to the search term.
Filters
Use the filter dropdowns beneath the search bar to filter projects by Org, type, phase, primary, or tags. To include archived projects or show only pinned projects, select the respective toggle.
You can also quickly filter the projects by clicking on any information in the list. For example, clicking on the project phase “Litigation” will filter the list to only those projects with the same Org, project type, and phase.
When you filter with more than one tag, the list will be sorted by relevance, meaning that projects with more of the filtered tags will appear above those with fewer.
Expand the “Primary” dropdown to choose from the list of all users who are primary on at least one project in the list. Choose a user from the list to filter by projects where that user is first primary.
Heads Up!
When filtering by Primary, the available values will include primaries on active cases only. To filter by primaries who are solely on archived cases, enable the Show archived toggle.
The My Projects dropdown menu will allow you to filter for projects where you are a primary, a follower, or a specific role. This dropdown will display only roles that have been assigned to you. Learn more about adding and assigning roles.
All filters can be cleared at once by clicking Clear filters, which appears along the filter bar whenever a filter has been selected. All filters remain in place until they have been cleared, even if you navigate away from or refresh the page.
Customize
There are a few options available to customize your view. You can resize columns by clicking and dragging the righthand border of the column header.
You can also reorder and show/hide columns if desired. To reorder columns, click and drag the column header to the desired placement. To show or hide certain columns, go to any column header and select the hamburger icon ≡. In the leftmost tab, select or unselect column names to show or hide them.
To adjust the capacity of your page, expand the Show dropdown at the bottom of the page and choose a new value. You can display up to 500 projects per page.
