All users have a built-in calendar in Filevine. To access your calendar, click on the Menu icon, then the word Calendar on the drop-down menu.
Your calendar is populated by events and deadlines from all of your projects. If your calendar is linked to your Google or Office 365 account, it also share events from Filevine with either of those calendars. This can be helpful for people who rely on Google or Office 365 calendar.
Share with Google Calendar or Office 365
- Navigate to the Menu in the top left corner
- Click on Setup
- You should now be in the “My Profile” section. At the bottom of the page in the “Calendar Settings” section, find the icon for the calendar you wish to integrate with
- Follow the steps to link to your primary Google account or Office 365 account
Share with Other Users
To share your calendar with other users, you must first set up syncing with a Google calendar using the steps above. Once you have set that up, enter the Filevine username or email of the person you want to have access to your calendar under “Who Can View My Calendar?” and select “Invite.”
Anyone with access to your calendar will be able to add and delete events on your global calendar. Be aware, all these changes transfer to your Google calendar instantly. This is the same as giving somebody permission to make changes on your Google calendar.
FAQs
Will other calendars (such as birthdays, or co-workers’ calendars) shared with my Google or Outlook 365 Calendar appear in my Filevine Calendar after setting up the share integration?
No, only your primary calendar in Google will have events shared with it from Filevine. This prevents the possibility of an “overload” by having the same events shared multiple times.
Do I need to have a Google or Outlook 365 Calendar account to use the Filevine Calendar?
No, even without a linked Google account, you will still have your own individual personal calendar and you will be able to interact with all project calendars.
