The Activity Feed is a built-in project section that collects all notes, emails, tasks, texts, and reminders associated with a project. Users can log activity and case updates for all project Admins and collaborators to see.
To view the Activity Feed, navigate to a project and click Activity in the left side menu.
Activity Items
There are many types of activity items, each with its own use. Most items are added by selecting Add new activity at the top of the feed. As items are added, they appear in the feed.
Learn about each type of activity item.
View and Filter
You can customize the Activity Feed’s appearance as desired to more efficiently find and update the desired items.
Card, Condensed, and List View
The Activity Feed has three different views: card view, condensed view, and list view. You can switch between these views at any time. These viewing options are also available for the user feed and task page, and whatever setting you choose for one page will be applied to the other two pages as well.
To switch between views, use the buttons in the top right corner.
Expand the items below to learn more about each view.
Card View
Card view is the most spacious option and includes a quick way to assign the item as a task by clicking Assign as Task at the bottom. If the item is already a task, you can change the assignee and due date, or mark the task as complete, without opening the item.
Condensed View
Condensed view allows you to view more items at once and get a better overview look. The details for each item are condensed into fewer lines.
List View
List view reorganizes the feed into a table format. The layout is similar to an email inbox, providing a way for users to scan through their items and quickly mark "Got it."
This view allows you to reorder, show/hide, and sort by certain columns. Learn more about how to customize and manage the table.
These customization options are “sticky,” meaning they will remain in place even if you navigate away from the page or refresh the page. They are also distinct for each page, meaning the Activity Feed, user feed, and task page can each have differently arranged columns and sorting criteria.
Quick Filters
On the left side of the Activity Feed, the Quick Filters menu lists the different activity item types. Select an item to filter the feed by that type.
Additional Filters
You can also click the Filter button above the feed to filter.
In the modal that appears, you can filter by:
- type of activity item
- pinned or unpinned items
- created by
- created date
- tags
Task items can additionally be filtered by:
- incomplete or complete
- assigned to
- assigned by
- completed by
- due date
Filters can be stacked. Filtering by multiple tags returns items with all the filtered tags, rather than items with any of the filtered tags.
To remove a single filter, click the x in that filter tag. To remove all filters, click Clear Filters. Filters are removed when you refresh or navigate away from the Activity Feed.
Item Actions
Each item in the Activity Feed can be copied, moved, edited, commented on, and more.
Select an item to open its flyout, where you can view the item’s comments and additional options. Click the vertical ellipsis ⋮ to view all of the item options.

Trending Tags
The Trending Tags bar appears at the top of the Activity Feed, below the Add new activity box. This bar lists the top ten most commonly used tags in the project. Select a tag to filter the Activity feed by that tag. Click the up arrow on the right to collapse the Trending Tags bar.
Summarize
Above the Add new activity box is the Summarize button, which allows you to quickly get a summary of the project’s Activity Feed. Click Summarize to open a new SidebarAI thread with the project summary prompt.
For users with access to AI prompts, the project summary date range includes the last 30 days. For other users, the date range includes the last seven days. Learn more about SidebarAI.
