The built-in Related section houses all of a project’s linked and related projects together in one place. Linked and related projects are easy to navigate between, and a user can copy Activity items to all of a project’s related projects at once.
Linked and Related Projects
If it has been added to your project template in the Customs Editor, the Related section can be found in the lefthand menu in your project. In the Related section, you will see “Linked Projects” and “Related Projects.”
Under “Linked Projects” you will see any projects that have been linked in project link fields anywhere in the projects. Here you can click on any of the linked projects to navigate to that project.
Under “Related Projects” you will see any projects that have been related this project. To relate a project, type the project’s name in the “Search for a project” text box and select the correct project from the dropdown.
Once you select the project, it will be listed as related. If the related project is related to other projects, they will also appear on your related projects list. Clicking on a related project will take you to that project.
Copying to Related Projects
Notes in the project’s Activity feed can be copied to all related projects at once. This ability is useful for related cases that all need the same information.
To copy to all related projects, click a note in the Activity feed, click the vertical ellipsis, and select “Copy to Related Projects.” The note and comments will be copied, but any attached documents will not be. Confirm to copy the note and its comments to all related projects.
