Courses range in complexity from front-end user training to more advanced maintenance and optimization of Filevine, and vary in length.
Filevine Basics Certification
In the Filevine Basics Certification, users learn about the essential tools in Filevine. This certification is geared towards non-Admin users—all Filevine users should take these courses. .
In the Basics learning path, users are introduced to Filevine’s essential building blocks: projects, documents, and billing. They learn about the tools they will use day-to-day: communication tools, reporting, feeds, and calendars. When a user completes their Basics Certification, they should know how to do things like:
- navigate through the different pieces of projects
- create an item in the Activity feed
- use the tools in the Main Menu
- manage documents
- keep their time
- build a simple report and share it
Recommended Courses by Role
It is highly recommended that every organization using Filevine has at least one user who is Filevine Admin Certified. Though FVU is meant to be a one-stop shop for all things Filevine, certain courses are more applicable to certain users, depending on their role. Below is an example of which levels are most pertinent to each user role:
- Basics Path: All users should complete the Basics path. This path lays the proper foundation for a user to navigate Filevine easily and confidently.
- Expert Path: The Expert learning path continues to levels three and four. In these levels, we begin to introduce more complex tools and features like the Customs Editor, Taskflows, Deadline Chains, and Organization management. This path should be taken by those who will be in a project Admin role within Filevine.
- Master Path: The Master path continues to build up your education on some of Filevine’s more advanced functionality. Now that you have become a Filevine Expert we expand on that knowledge and take it to the next level with Report Fusions, Mass Updates, FVDA, and more.
