After scheduling a hosted proceeding with Depositions by Filevine, attendees receive an email invitation with a link to the event page. At the time of the proceeding, attendees can open the event page to join the Zoom meeting.
Once you join the proceeding, let the reporter know if you would like to order a certified transcript after the proceeding is over. For the hosting firm, a rough draft transcript is included at no additional cost.
Attendee Instructions
If you are a listed attendee and your email was provided during scheduling, you will receive an email invitation from info@parrot.us with the subject line: “[Event name] Scheduled.” You will also receive a reminder email one hour before the proceeding starts.
Click Join this Deposition / Examination Under Oath to launch the event page.

If you did not receive an email, check your notice of proceedings for the event link. Link format: https://app.parrot.us/d/000000000
On the event page, click Join this deposition again to launch Zoom and join the proceeding. You can also select one of the following options:
- Live transcript: view the real-time transcript for the proceeding. (To access this transcript, you must log in to Depositions by Filevine.)
- Connection info: if you are unable to join directly through Zoom, click this button to obtain the dial-in information.
- Event notice: view the notice of proceedings.
Hosting Firm Instructions
Users from the firm hosting the proceeding can also access the event page directly from Depositions by Filevine.
Access via Cases
In the Cases section of Depositions by Filevine, select the case where the proceeding is scheduled, and then select the folder for the proceeding. In the Actions panel on the right, click Join proceeding to launch the event page.
Access via Calendar
In the lefthand side menu, click Calendar. Find and select the desired proceeding. In the “Connection info” section, click the highlighted link to launch the event page.
