Shortly after hosted proceedings with Depositions by Filevine, the hosting firm can access an AI-generated “rough draft” transcript. Attorneys often use this un-proofed transcript to quickly gather and share noteworthy moments immediately after a deposition, instead of waiting for a reporter to finish the certified version.
Heads Up!
Rough Draft transcripts are typically between 85-95% accurate. These transcripts are not a substitute for certified transcripts, and they may contain errors.
Processing Time
The AI-generated rough draft begins processing as soon as the hosted proceeding has ended. The transcript is typically ready by the end of the same business day.
For hosted proceedings that end outside of the usual operating hours (see Schedule Hosted Proceedings), the rough draft transcript will not be available until the following business day.
Access Rough Drafts
In the Cases section, find and select the desired case, and then find the relevant proceeding. Once the folder displays Rough draft underneath the proceeding’s name, the synced rough draft transcript and video are available.
Open the folder and click the transcript file to open the rough draft.
If a transcript is required by official authorities or for a trial, you can order a certified version of the transcript in which all errors are fixed by our professional legal transcriptionists. That type of transcript contains a certificate and is eligible in court.
