This article outlines what permissions exist in Filevine, what those permissions mean, how they are used, and how to change them.
Filevine has several different levels of permissions, many of which intersect and overlap with one another. The three major types of permissions in Filevine are project permissions, Org Admin status, and roles.
What Permissions Are
Project-level permissions control the user’s access to project data and notifications. There are three levels of accessibility in Filevine: guests, collaborators, and project Admins. Users can also “subscribe” to a project to receive project notifications. Learn more about project permissions.
Org Admin status controls additional permissions that a user has at the Org level. Learn more about Org Admins.
Project roles are used to make assigning autotasks easier. Roles enable a user to assign tasks based on project responsibilities, rather than on a specific user. Learn more about roles.
