Scheduled prompts are prompts that can be saved and scheduled. The instructions of their prompts can include skills and other context. Scheduled prompts are currently available as an early access offer for LEX attendees.
Scheduled prompts are added at the user level. Any user can add up to ten of their own scheduled prompts.
Add a Scheduled Prompt
Scheduled prompts can be added in the Scheduled Prompts tab in LOIS Build, or directly from a chat.
From the Scheduled Prompts Tab
To view or add scheduled prompts, in LOIS’ sidebar, select Build > Routines. In this tab, you can also see a list of your existing scheduled prompts, and review and take action on them. Learn more.
Permission Required
Account Admins will also see Workflows under this section. Learn more about workflows.
Click Add New to add a scheduled prompt. (For account admins, select “Scheduled Prompts” from the Add New dropdown.) This action opens the New Prompt modal.
- Add the name of the prompt and a short description. These items help you keep track of your prompts and their use.
- Add the prompt itself. The prompt can contain any context and instruction, along with one or more skills. Click Add Skill or type / to find and add a skill to the prompt.
- Select the projects. You can choose to run the prompts across all your projects, or on one specific project. Note that if you want to run the skill on a certain subset of projects, you can select “All projects” here and include instructions to filter the projects in the prompt (e.g. “For projects with the tag “Greene”).
-
Select the frequency. Select the days and the time you’d like the scheduled prompt to run.
Note
The time selected here is the time that the prompt is run, not the time that a response is given. If you need your response generated exactly by 8:00 AM, for example, set this time for earlier so that the prompt response is ready by then.
- Authentication. After the prompt it created, it must be authenticated. Click the prompt’s Needs Authentication status and then select Authenticate. You will need to enter an MFA verification code to ensure authentication. Once you verify, the prompt will be authenticated and you can toggle it to Active to activate.
- Test run. Once your scheduled prompt is active, we recommend using the Run Now option to get a sense of what the response will look like.
From a Chat
If you are chatting with LOIS, and you’d like to save the prompt you used to run again, you can save that chat text as a scheduled prompt. Hover on your chat, and click the clock icon to open the New Prompt modal, with the chat text entered as the prompt.
In this modal, you can edit or add to your prompt, make your other selections, and save the scheduled prompt.
Scheduled Prompts in Use
Once a prompt has been scheduled, it will run at the scheduled time, and appear as a new chat in LOIS, titled as the prompt name.
Review Scheduled Prompts
In the Scheduled Prompts tab in the Routines section, you can see any existing scheduled prompts, along with their:
- project scope
- cadence
- time of next run
- status
Click the prompt’s vertical ellipsis menu under Actions in this list for further actions:
- run now: when you first create a scheduled prompt, you can use this option to test LOIS’ response
- view details
- edit
- duplicate: create a copy to help you get started on another scheduled prompt
- activate or de-activate
- delete
Scheduled Prompts Reauthorization
When a scheduled prompt has been active for 45 days, you will receive a notification in the Scheduled Prompts tab asking you to confirm that you would like the prompt to continue to run. If you do not confirm, the scheduled prompt will be de-activated and stop running in 15 days.
Scheduled prompt reauthorization helps to keep your LOIS chats clean and ensures that you are using all of your scheduled prompts.
