Main Menu

Filevine’s main menu appears in the top left corner of Filevine, and contains overview pages like the Documents page, as well as other features that you will use every day.

Filevine allows users to choose the order of their main menu options. Reorder them in any way you like. The order determines which pages are listed along the top bar for easy access, and which page acts as your default page for Filevine.

Top Options

Your top four options will appear in the top bar of Filevine, rather than in the main menu dropdown.

The first option acts as your default URL for Filevine. If you’ve selected the Mailroom as your first main menu option, for example, then when you log in to Filevine you will taken to the Mailroom.

Note

Over the week of January 26, 2026, the default URL for Filevine changed from the Feed to the Tasks page. The Tasks page will now be the default URL for new users and when you click Reset to Default. To reorder your main menu view, read the next section.

How to Reorder

To reorder the main menu, open the main menu dropdown and click Configure in the bottom right corner. You'll see the top bar options are listed at the top, with a separator, and the first default URL option is marked with a star. Click and drag the dots to the right of an option to reorder them. 

When you are satisfied with the order, click Done to save the order. You can also click Reset to Defaults to return the order to the original state.
