LOIS Workflows is our native agentic automation platform. LOIS Workflows allow you to run automatic workflows triggered by Filevine events (webhooks) or on a schedule, without relying on third-party tools.
Note
LOIS Workflows is a feature of LOIS. To learn more about getting access to this feature, reach out to your Filevine representative.
What is LOIS Workflows?
With LOIS Workflows, you can create automated workflows within and across Filevine products, including LOIS agentic analyses. At this time, LOIS Workflows supports Filevine and Client Portal and more
In LOIS Workflows, you’ll define your trigger, and then create action steps to pull data, make a change, or create a new object. You can think of the basic workflow as “When X happens → Get data → Do something with it.”
Workflows’ action steps support conditional logic, loops, and LOIS Intelligence.
What LOIS Workflows Can Do
- send a Client Portal form or message based on any Filevine trigger—a specific task in the activity feed, a deadline, etc.
- triggered on a phase change, automatically create a task with outstanding discovery request information
- triggered on a phase change, assign the arbitrator, pull the relevant contacts, and schedule the hearing
- upon project creation, create a flat fee billing item, create the invoice, and send it to the client portal
- upon a taskflow, use LOIS to review the document, and add tags and update metadata to classify the document depending on its content

- Job History Tab: This tab shows a history of all automation runs across your Org, with columns for automation name, completion status (Completed or Failed), “started at” timestamp, and duration. You can search jobs by name using the search bar. Clicking on an automation name navigates to the job detail page for that run.
