This article discusses how to retrieve data backups from certain software providers.
This list is not comprehensive, and some information may be outdated. When in doubt, the software you are pulling the backup from is the ultimate source of truth.
If you have new information about the following providers—or about a provider we don't have listed here—you’re welcome to contact support and let us know.
Clio
To create a full backup of your database, read Export your data from Clio.
MyCase
To create a full backup of your database, read How do I get my data out of MyCase?
Trialworks
Reach out to Trialworks Support for assistance creating a backup of your database. Depending on which version of Trialworks you have, you may need to mail a hard drive for them to load the backup on and then send it to Filevine.
Amicus
If you use Amicus Cloud, their support team will provide what they call a "SQL backpack" of all your data. To request that backup, email cloudsupport@abacusnext.com. Make sure to send from an email that Amicus will recognize as the owner or admin on the account. The backup will contain all of your data except the email exchanges.
If you use Amicus Attorney, read Database Backup and Restore to generate your own backup.
AbacusLaw
To create a full backup of your database, read Backing Up and Restoring in AbacusLaw by CARET.
