Getting a data backup from your previous software provider can be a daunting process. To help ease the burden on you, we have researched and compiled some instructions on how to retrieve these backups by the software provider. This is not a comprehensive list but we attempt to keep it up to date, so if you have new information about one of the following providers or information on a provider we don't have listed here, please add to the comments below and we will be sure to add it to the article.
Note - this should not be used as an authoritative guide on pulling backups, and the software from which you are trying to pull the backup is the ultimate source of information on these matters. Additionally, the information included here comes from our experience and is prone to change, but we attempt to include links to the software's support site when possible.

Spreadsheets
- Sometimes the quickest and easiest option to get your data is via spreadsheets. This can often be done through some type of reporting or export functions in your previous. We can migrate spreadsheets in .xlsx or .csv formats.
- Make sure that your spreadsheets are formatted in a usable manner with the data segmented into separate columns. It also helps speed up the process of migration if you can include unique identifiers with the data such as contact id or matter id. This will make it easier to connect the data while importing. See the example below of correctly formatted data.
