Filevine’s Docs section now includes an expandable flyout and, for Docs+ users, a way to edit docs and image files.
Expandable Flyout
Users can expand the properties flyout in Filevine’s Docs section, allowing for easier viewing of their files with minimal clicks.
In Filevine’s Docs Section, clicking on the information icon on the far right will open the properties flyout, which will display additional information about the selected document. To expand or shrink the flyout, click and drag the dots on the left side of the flyout.
Expanding or shrinking the flyout in the preview tab will enable you to better view the document without opening the previewer. Users can also now scroll through the document to view all pages, or use the arrows at the bottom of the document to flip through pages. Click on the eye icon in the left top corner of the document display to open up the full previewer.
Previewer Improvements
Users will also see some improvements in the previewer, including improved zoom controls, a thumbnail view, and a dark mode option.
Docs+ Editor
Docs+ users can edit docs and image files from within Filevine and save them as PDFs.
Previewing a Word document, for example, will display the editing options you will be familiar with from the PDF Editor: comments, in-line edits like highlighting, and advanced capabilities like insert.
Users can add edits as desired. When saving, they will be prompted to save the file as a PDF document, which will be saved in the same folder as the original file.
