Filevine’s new Vinesign templates are coming soon. This update may be subject to change.
Vinesign will be converting to a new templating system, which will provide both users and signers with enhanced speed and a more seamless experience.
Switching to the new template will improve the Vinesign signing experience without disruption to the user. Users will not need to perform any steps to convert over to the new template system.
The job creation process will remain the same and all legacy templates will be auto-converted. All placeholders in legacy templates will be automatically placed where they were in legacy templates, so users will not need to manually recreate any of their legacy templates.
Temporarily, users will also be given the ability to view, edit, and send the legacy templates if needed by. This will also enable users to view the legacy and new templates side by side for comparison. These options are present in the hover-over menu in the templates tab.
For the Creator
For the job creator and sender, the process will remain much the same. Placeholders will now have their heights automatically generated to fit in-line with the text.
Users will also now be able to scroll between pages rather than clicking between them (although placeholders will remain tied to the page they are initially placed on).
The new templating system will compress and flatten documents, making sending, downloading, and uploading easier and faster. This improvement will be particularly noticeable for mobile devices or slower internet.
For the Signer
When a Vinesign document is opened for filling, the signer will see a top bar with a "Next" button that will highlight all uncompleted fields, making it easier to ensure that they’ve filled all fields.
When a signer fills a field, they will now enter their text directly into the document and the entered text will appear in line with the document’s text. This view will make it easier for the signer to see which fields have been filled and with what.
The signer will now sign in a flyout screen instead of in a modal. The signer will not also be able to reuse their signature or initials if they need to sign multiple times on a single document.
