We are happy that you have made the decision to become a Filevine User. We will be able to do great things by working together. Your training with Filevine starts here. Let's get started.
Class 1 (Projects: Custom Sections)
Understanding Filevine starts out by thinking of organizing information into projects. They are the hubs around which data is tracked and collaboration happens. For law firms, projects are used for their clients’ cases. Each case has its own project. These videos will walk you through both the basics and how to create a project.
Creating a Project (Once you have watched this one, create a project in Filevine so that you can follow along with the other videos)
In Filevine you can create a Project Template which will determine the layout of the projects created within that template. These project templates can be customized by changing the phases associated and the vitals that appear but most of the customization is done by changing the section included in the project and the layout of those sections. It is in these sections that all the work on a project is done so it is important to know how they work.
Sections can be separated into two categories, Custom Sections and Non-Custom Sections. Custom Sections, as the name implies, can be customized to fit the needs of the user. These sections are essentially collections of data fields, organized in a way to make the data meaningful. These articles will explain more about Custom Section and the type of data fields they can contain.

Class 3: (Project Features)
There are only a handful of other features we need to cover in order fully understand how a project works. With the exception of the Vitals and Phases, these features cannot be customized and automatically included on every project. These videos will explain how they work.
