This article will discuss how to set up or edit your profile page and account settings in Filevine. Setting up your profile and account includes choosing a photo, name, username, email, and password. You will also have the option to share your calendar and enable extensions such as the Outlook Add-In.
Click on your profile picture along the top of Filevine and select “My Profile” from the dropdown menu to navigate to the profile page. In the “My Profile” section, you can add or change your photo and name, and connect and share your calendar.
Upload a new photo by hovering over the photo and clicking on the upload icon that appears, then choosing a photo from your computer to upload. Filevine displays profile pictures as a circle and automatically centers the photo for you. For this reason, it is best to choose a picture that is square with the image centered for your profile.
To change your first or last name, simply click in the text box and type in your desired text. The checkmark to the right of the field will turn green to indicate that your name has been changed.
Filevine calendars can be connected with Google calendars or Office 365 calendars and shared with other Filevine users.
To navigate to the “Account Settings” page, click on your profile picture along the top of Filevine and select “Account Settings” from the dropdown menu. In this section, you can set up 2-factor authentication and change your username, email, and password.
Update your username by clicking in the field and entering your desired text. The checkmark to the right of the field will turn green to indicate that your name has been changed. Your username must be unique across all Filevine users. For this reason, it is best practice to determine your username early on.
Change your email by entering the desired text in the “Email” textbox. After changing this text, you will be asked to enter your password to confirm the change. Filevine will send all email alerts to the new email.
Change your password by clicking on the “Change Password” button. You will be asked to enter your current password, and then enter and confirm your new password. If you have forgotten your password, read Reset Your Password.
