You can now see any project documents 2 GB or smaller in a “thumbnails” view, which allows you to get a quick view for many file types.
Toggle to Thumbnail View
In the project’s Docs section, click the four square icon in the top right corner to toggle from list view to thumbnail view. Click the list icon to toggle back.
If you search and filter documents, the search results will also be in thumbnail view.
Loading Thumbnails
An existing file’s thumbnail is added to a queue for generation once a user interacts with the file—meaning once the file is viewed in the project’s Docs section list.
If a file is in a folder, you must click into the folder and view it in that folder’s list. If a file is not at the top of the Docs section, you must scroll down to see that file loaded in the list. “Viewing” files does not require opening them individually—the file just needs to be loaded in a list in the Docs section.
Once a file has been interacted with, or viewed, it will be added to the thumbnail queue, and you can expect to see the file’s thumbnail. Note: If your thumbnails have not generated within a week of the thumbnail beta starting, reach out to support.
Uploading a file will add it to the thumbnail queue, so all new files will be added.
