With the new Teams Permissions, you can use the Mass Permissions Advanced tool to make bulk project assignment changes to teams. You have two options for assigning a team to projects in bulk:
- Using the Permissions Cloning tool: you can assign a team to projects based on the assignment of another team.
- Using the Mass Update Teams tool: you can add one or multiple teams to projects based on a report.
To navigate to the Mass Permissions Advanced tool, click the Main Menu and select Advanced from the dropdown. Click Mass Permissions in the left side menu.
Permission Cloning Teams
Just as you would with users, you can mirror a team’s assignments based on the assignments of another team. For instance, you could assign Team A to all projects where Team B is assigned.
In the Mass Permissions tool, in the + Add an Update tab, select Permissions Cloning Tool from the dropdown. Select Teams.
Choose the team that you would like to be assigned, and then choose the team you would like to base the assignments on. Click Queue Update.
Mass Update Teams
As you would with other permissions, you can assign one or multiple teams to a list of projects based on a report. Run a List of Projects report with the projects you would like to assign the team to.
In the Mass Permissions tool, in the + Add an Update tab, select Mass Update Teams from the dropdown.
Select the report you created from the dropdown. Then, select the team or teams you would like to assign. Click Queue Update.
