In the project’s Team section, you can invite teams as well as single members. You will see a new tab called “Teams,” between the Roles and Members tabs.
Add Teams
You can add and remove teams from the project. To add a team, click + Invite in the top right corner and then enter the name and description of the team, and select it from the dropdown.
You have the option of subscribing the team to project notifications. When this option is toggled on, all team members with their subscription settings turned on (set in the Member Access tool at the team level) will be subscribed to the project. If the toggled is turned off, no members will be subscribed to the project, regardless of their settings.
Click Invite.
Teams Tab
The Teams tab lists all teams (created and defined in the Member Access section) that have been added to the project, along with the team description and the number of members in that team. At the bottom of the list, you can also see “Unassigned Members,” who are members in the project who were not added as part of a team.
Click on a team to open the team flyout on the right, where you can view the full team description and any removed team members. You can also remove the entire team from the project by clicking Remove from Project at the bottom of this flyout.
Click the arrow next to a team in the list to expand it and view a list of the team members and their status (Added or Removed). Click on a team member to open their flyout, where you can view and edit their subscription, project access, and roles, just as you would in the other Team section tabs.
Team Members
When a team is added to a project, the team members will be added to the project and will also appear under the Roles and Members tabs.
Team members will be added with the project access level, roles, and initial subscription status (if the subscription toggle was on upon adding) that were defined by the team in the Members Access section. If a team member’s access or roles are changed at the team level, these changes will also be reflected in the project, with the exception of the subscription setting.
Access, roles, and subscription status for these team members can be edited in the project as before, anywhere you click on a member to open their flyout.
Editing Team Members
Note: If you downgrade, meaning remove a role or lessen a user’s access on the project from what is set on the Team, the entire team will be “broken” for that project. All members and their settings will remain, but any changes made at the team level will no longer be reflected in this project, and the team will no longer appear in the Teams tab.
Only Org Admins will be able to make these team-breaking changes. If an Org Admin attempts to make a team-breaking change, they will receive a warning. Non-Org Admin users are not able to change access level or roles, or remove a team member.
Changing a team member's subscription status does not affect their link to the team.
Removing a Team Member
You can remove a team member from the project without breaking the team. If a member is removed, they will still be listed in the teams tab, with the status “Removed.”
If you remove a member from a team on the project, the team member is also removed from all other associated teams they were part of—effectively, removing a team member once ensures that team member no longer has access to the project.
To remove a team member, open the member’s flyout anywhere in the Teams section. In the flyout, click Remove from Project.
Once a team member is removed, they no longer appear in the Roles or Members tabs. In the Teams tab, they are listed as removed. Click on a team to open the flyout and display any removed team members.
If a removed team member is invited back to the project, regardless of how they are invited, their status will be updated to “Added.”
Teams Reporting
Users can report on the teams that have been added to a project. For any report type that includes the Teams category for columns, you can choose the Team(s) on Project column.
You can filter criteria on this column by Any, All, or None, and then select teams.
