Increased SMS delivery failures are occurring for traffic from unregistered phone numbers. Phone numbers must be registered in reference to the SMS regulations rolled out in 2021.
In November of 2022, we made an additional push as some customers were required to resubmit the registration, to which many responded. We also made a push to all unregistered customers over the past two months through multiple routes, including in-app messaging and finally a mass email. We had many responses and for that we thank you.
For those who have not yet registered, or for those who did register and are seeing failures, we have instructions for each group:
If you have registered since November of 2022 or signed up originally for Tier 2, then you may still need to register individual numbers. Go to Advanced > Org Phone Numbers. In the Text tab, select Register Number next to the numbers that are labeled as Unregistered. Read more. If you are having trouble with that process, please contact support.
If you did not register for Tier 2 or have not registered since November of 2022, submit your registration here.
Note: Please ensure that the registration information provided is accurate. This is especially important for the business name and EIN, as a mismatch with those is the leading cause of failure. This process can take several weeks (3-5 is expected), so please submit as soon as possible.
We don’t want to leave you without SMS, so in the registration form, please select Low Volume and you will be able to provide five numbers that can be used while your registration is being approved. (After the SMS registration is complete for your firm, you will be able to register up to 400 numbers.)
If you believe you have registered, but don’t see a registration banner in Advanced > Org Phone Numbers, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can verify.
